Victorian Women Vote 2008 School Poster Competition Winners
The winners of the Victorian Women Vote School Poster Competition were announced by the Minister of Women’s Affairs, Maxine Morand, at special function on 11 November 2008 at Parliament House.
Victorian primary and secondary students were invited to design posters reflecting their interpretation of the fight by women for the right to vote 100 years ago.

Da Khat form Springvale Primary School won the Year 5 and 6 categories for her bold and bright poster of women holding banners and protesting for women’s rights.
Deborah Nottas, Year 7 from Kilbreda College in Mentone took out the Year 7 and 8 category. Her landscape poster featured the suffrage colours of white, green and purple and used a strong feminist theme proclaiming Votes for Women since 1908.
Pessy Fromer from Beth Rivkah Ladies College in St Kilda East, won the Year 9 and 10 category for her poster montage of newspaper and magazine clippings of powerful illustrations and messages.
